The problem we were solving wasn't AI. It was the loneliness of doing everything yourself.

Across India and Southeast Asia, we kept meeting the same person: a founder, a shop owner, a freelancer, up past midnight — not because they were short on ideas, but because they were doing ten jobs at once. Research. Design. Copywriting. Code. GST and PPN. Ads. Customer support. Alone.

The Western AI tools gave them answers. But an answer isn't a team. And those tools didn't speak Bahasa, Tamil, or Hindi, didn't understand GST, PPN, or UPI, and were priced for San Francisco, not for a small business in Jakarta or Jaipur. So we asked a simple question: what if AI wasn't a chatbot at all — what if it was a matrix of specialists that actually did the work?

The inspiration

Katalock comes out of Agentic Intelligence Matrix (AiM Intelligence) in Singapore, where our roots are in AI safety and red-teaming — stress-testing models to find where they lie, leak, and fail. Years of breaking AI left us with one conviction, which became the heart of our manifesto:

“Intelligence isn't about answering faster. It's about acting responsibly, autonomously, and in service of humans — not the other way around.”

We didn't want to ship another thin wrapper around someone else's model. We wanted to build the guardrails first, and then hand people real leverage. That's why Katalock was born for India and all of Southeast Asia — the markets the AI industry keeps skipping.

I'm Hairul Azhar Bin Abu Bakar, and I started Agentic Intelligence Matrix in Singapore with one belief: AI shouldn't be another tab you open — it should be the team that works for you while you sleep. I've spent years building for founders, agencies, and CA firms across India and Southeast Asia who don't need $20-a-month toys. They need real workers — SEO agents, bookkeepers, marketers — that understand local language, local compliance, and local budgets.
