The problem we were solving wasn't AI. It was the loneliness of doing everything yourself.
Across India and Southeast Asia, we kept meeting the same person: a founder, a shop owner, a freelancer, up past midnight, not because they were short on ideas, but because they were doing ten jobs at once. Research. Design. Copywriting. Code. GST. Ads. Customer support. Alone.
The Western AI tools gave them answers. But an answer isn't a team. And those tools didn't speak Bahasa, Tamil, or Mandarin, didn't understand GST / UPI, and were priced for San Francisco, not for a small business in Jaipur / Bengaluru. So we asked a simple question: what if AI wasn't a chatbot at all, what if it was a matrix of specialists that actually did the work?

The inspiration
Katalock comes out of Agentic Intelligence Matrix (AiM Intelligence) in Singapore, where our roots are in AI safety and red-teaming, stress-testing models to find where they lie, leak, and fail. Years of breaking AI left us with one conviction, which became the heart of our manifesto:
“Intelligence isn't about answering faster. It's about acting responsibly, autonomously, and in service of humans, not the other way around.”
We didn't want to ship another thin wrapper around someone else's model. We wanted to build the guardrails first, and then hand people real leverage. That's why Katalock was born for India and all of Southeast Asia, the markets the AI industry keeps skipping.
The name
KatalockAi carries two readings, and we love both. In English it's a catalyst that locks in trust, real leverage you can rely on, never let loose without your say. Said aloud in Bahasa or Malay it becomes kata lokal, “local words”: an AI that finally speaks in yours. Local words, verified work. That's the whole promise in one name.
What Katalock is
Katalock is an agentic AI workspace. Not one AI, many, working together:
- A researcher that cross-checks itself several times before it answers, and tells you how confident it is.
- A builder that writes real apps and fixes its own mistakes on a Runs board.
- A marketer that drafts and schedules campaigns while you sleep, and never posts without your approval.
- A studio that turns a sentence into images, videos, and songs.
All in your currency. All in your language. And nothing leaves Katalock, no message, no payment, no post, without a human saying yes. Because power without control is just risk.
Our promise

I'm Hairul Azhar Bin Abu Bakar, and I started Agentic Intelligence Matrix in Singapore with one belief: AI shouldn't be another tab you open, it should be the team that works for you while you sleep. I've spent years building for founders, agencies, and CA firms across India and Southeast Asia who don't need $20-a-month toys. They need real workers, SEO agents, bookkeepers, marketers, that understand local language, local compliance, and local budgets.
So we built it differently. Katalock is built by a small team in Singapore and India, designed to stay fast, profitable, and obsessed with you, no VC pressure to burn, no bloat, just agents that actually ship work. We started with the API, because developers needed cheaper, better access. Then we built the workspace, because founders needed more than chat. Today, from ₹299/mo to full done-for-you teams, Katalock helps businesses turn ideas into output without hiring ten more people.

Most AI products send every question to one expensive model and hope it's right.
I couldn't afford that, and I didn't trust it either. So I built around it.
K-Computer is Katalock's verification engine, running in chat and in Code. It asks several independent models from different labs the same question, checks the sources they cite, and has separate judges reconcile their answers.
- One answer with a score that shows how strongly the models agreed, and a clear note wherever they didn't.
- Runs automatically for questions about law, money, health and the news.
- In Code, it reviews the apps you build before you ship them.
What we're building next turns that one panel into a four-tier pyramid of specialist panels. A question starts at the base and climbs only as far as it needs to.
Every tier has its own arbiter, the Queen, whose job is to force a consensus before anything moves up.
- Built to resolve most work at the cheapest tier. Our design target is around 85% of tasks there, for roughly 10x lower running cost than sending everything to the top.
- A distillation flywheel: every hard problem the Apex solves becomes training data for our own smaller models, so the base gets smarter and the pyramid gets cheaper over time. It compounds.
- A dedicated regional tier for the vernacular and local business logic that the big labs overlook.
The pyramid is in development. Figures are design targets, not measured results.
Models are rented and replaceable. Our edge is the orchestration that decides which models to ask, how to weigh them and how to check them, and next, the flywheel that turns hard answers into cheaper ones.
